Man does everything, is at the center of everything, manages everything, masters everything. And since the world's situation is complex, it's inevitably complex to save the world. The world can only be saved by Man...
That's forgetting God's teaching. As early as Genesis, he demanded an incredibly simple act of obedience to enable men to go to Heaven: not to eat of the fruit of the tree. An incredibly easy act, yet so insignificant compared to the splendor of all the rest of creation. Is God's simple request absurd? In the Gospel, however, we see the same thing.
To turn water into wine, Christ simply asks you to pour water into the jars. Absurd?
To multiply the loaves, all he asks is for a few loaves and two fishes from a young boy to feed 5,000 people. Absurd?
To resurrect Lazard, all he asks is that the stone be removed. Absurd?
Well, none of this is absurd. To intervene and perform a miracle, God always requires a simple act of faith, obedience and humility before deciding to act.
What is absurd is man's pride in judging the means God sends...
The same is true today. All God asks of us is devotion to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart of Mary, with very simple acts: on the 1st Friday of the month, her heart on the arms and banners of France, and on the 1st Saturday of the month, the consecration of Russia. Why so little?
Let's remember that God is our "Father". He has only one goal for us: our eternal happiness. Full of love and mercy, he is always ready to help us, slow to anger, quick to show mercy. So whatever makes it easier for us to get to Heaven, he'll do. And so he asks for ultra-simple things within our reach, because as a good loving Father, he wants to make our yes as easy as possible to be almost sure we'll do it. But on the other hand, he absolutely needs l'exercising our freedomof our "yes", however small it may be.
The difficulties of modern times have long been foretold by many prophecies. God, knowing that in this period man, influenced by Satan, would go to his ruin without a new and exceptional means, sent Christ and the Blessed Virgin to bring us precisely the means he had reserved for these times of general apostasy. As in Genesis and the Gospel, this means is within our reach: a few hours at the beginning of each month devoted to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
Who are we to judge God's decisions? Who are we to say that this is old-fashioned and outdated? Who are we to decide what needs to be done to save the world?
Quid ut Deus? (who is like God?) said Saint Michael
So let's stop disappointing God. Let's stop spreading ourselves too thin, trying to do things our own way. in a complicated way to save France and the world. Let us concentrate our efforts on this simple means we have been given: devotion to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Let us obey with love and humility. Heaven will take care of the rest.
